improv musician and session artist

Kora Melia is a Minneapolis-based multi-instrumentalist, session musician, and touring artist working across American roots, bluegrass, indie folk, and rock. Classically trained and road-tested, Kora brings fiddle, mandolin, and vocals to the stage and studio with an instinct for listening first, finding the space in a song, and playing exactly what belongs.

Current projects include playing for Erik Koskinen, Dead North, and Nick Elstad. She cut her teeth with Keweenaw Brewgrass and learned how to book and tour as Ani & Kora. Kora has shared stages with Lindsay Lou, Pieta Brown, Joshua Davis, Thomas Sticha, and Billy Strings, and can be heard in the studio with Luke Leblanc, Raymond Little, and Ani Mari.
